Description

A rare and exclusive gilt bronze French Rococo chandelier, mid 18th century. Cage form; With 9 scrolled arms and 3 cage arms. In the centre there is a vase and an extra poignard and above a ball.
The candle arms has numbers who are corresponding with the central plate- ‚Entablement’ . This is characteristic for the 18th century ( see photo's made during the restoration process).
The bobeches in the typical French flower form. The chandelier is richly festooned with large stars, jasmins, pendeloques  'Cristal de Bohême’ and hexagonal poignards.Above the cage there is Vase-d’enfilade from 3 decorative vases to cover the stam.The crown ‚Aigrete' has six crystal pendants.
Bas-de-lustre is a beautiful large bol.
Place of origin- France, Paris.
Period- 18th century ca. 1750
